Sailing Experience Package

This exclusive Black Star Farms package (available only to Inn guests) will have you out exploring the Caribbean-like waters of West Grand Traverse Bay aboard a spacious Catalina 34-foot sailboat with a licensed 25-year-experienced U.S.C.G. Master Captain. Aboard, you will set sail at 10:30 AM for a two-hour private morning cruise that includes charcuterie for two, an insulated BSF logo tote, a bottle of sparkling wine with BSF logo drinkware, and a BSF logo beach blanket.

Sails are available late May through mid-October.

Bike Leelanau Wine Trail

Your cycling wine country adventure begins with bikes ready and waiting for you in the morning, along with a thoughtfully planned itinerary featuring reservations at three area wineries. Guests may select a picnic lunch from a curated list of options to enjoy at one of the featured winery stops along the route. *e-bike upgrades available

Are you looking to enhance your getaway with a round of golf? Allow us to book you a tee time at the beautiful Bahle Farms Golf Course, located only 2.5 miles from Black Star Farms. Outdoor Adventure

Your adventure begins with bikes delivered directly to the Inn, allowing guests to enjoy a scenic ride into the village of Suttons Bay. Upon arrival at Suttons Bay Bikes, guests will be fitted for either a stand-up paddleboard or kayak to continue exploring the beauty of Northern Michigan from the water. A picnic lunch prepared by Black Star Farms is included to enjoy during your day in Suttons Bay, and return transportation back to the Inn is provided once your adventure concludes. *e-bike upgrades available

Explore our property and the surrounding area at your leisure with a 24-hour bike rental.  Verified An Up North Gem
The Inn is simply beautiful, in a classic and charming way. The rooms are perfectly appointed, and the staff is beyond excellent. We stayed in the Castor & Pollux room, which was just amazing with its vaulted ceiling and beautiful fireplace. David, the manager, greeted us by name upon our arrival, and was attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. He hosted the “hospitality hour” and engaged us and the other visitors in conversation, while filling our wine glasses, setting out some nibbles, and making sure we were all enjoying ourselves. The Inn is surrounded by lovely vineyards and open fields. We walked across the road from the Inn and watched the horses quietly eating their breakfast. Then we were on our way to our own breakfast in the dining room. It was truly delicious, and was plated and served beautifully. We felt so welcomed and at ease that we lingered even after we finished our meal. The Tasting Room on the premises was also a delightful experience. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the view as well as the wine! I always recommend Black Star Farms to anyone who asks. It's a gem! Thank you for another wonderful stay.

What an amazing experience, as usual! David, and now Rachel, always so friendly and greeting us each time with smiles and conversation, making us feel right at home. Chef Kristen prepared two incredible breakfasts, as those definitely make it worth just waking up for! The trails are nice, and just enough to work that breakfast off, or to take an evening stroll. We absolutely love coming here each year, and just wish we could do it more often! Thank YOU for always making this such a beautiful experience!! 🥰 P.S.
